What it costs and what to expect.
How much does a new AC system cost?
In Northeast Florida, a complete system (outdoor condenser plus indoor air handler, installed) generally runs from the high four figures to the low five figures. Size, efficiency (SEER2), heat pump vs. straight cooling, ductwork or electrical work, and brand all move the price. We measure your home and give you a written price before any work starts.
Is financing available?
Yes, through GreenSky, LLC, subject to credit approval. GreenSky sets the rates and terms, not us. You can apply once you have your written price. See financing.
What’s included in a replacement?
Removal and disposal of the old equipment, the new condenser and air handler, a pad or stand where needed, a refrigerant line flush or replacement, a new thermostat if you want one, start-up and testing, and registering the manufacturer’s parts warranty.
How long does installation take?
Most replacements are done in one day. Jobs that need ductwork changes can take longer.
Choosing the right system

What size AC do I need?
Not necessarily the same size as your old one. We size every system with a Manual J load calculation: square footage, ceiling height, insulation, windows and how the house was built. Too big and it short-cycles and leaves humidity behind; too small and it never catches up in August.
Which type of system is best for my home?
Central AC cools the whole house through ductwork. A heat pump does the same and also heats. Ductless mini-splits cool individual rooms or additions without ducts. We’ll recommend what fits your home and budget.
Do I need new ductwork?
Not always. If your ducts are old, leaking or undersized, replacing them improves airflow and efficiency. We check them during your estimate.
What is SEER2 and does it matter?
SEER2 measures how efficiently an AC cools over a season. Higher SEER2 means lower running costs but a higher upfront price. We’ll show you the trade-off for your home.
Repair or replace?
Help deciding what makes sense.
How do I know if I need a new AC or just a repair?
Consider replacing if your system is 10–15 years old or more, needs frequent repairs, or can’t keep the house evenly cool. We’ll check it and tell you honestly if a repair makes more sense. Our repair-or-replace guide walks through it.
Can you replace just the compressor or condenser?
Yes, when the rest of the system is in good shape. It can restore performance without a full replacement.
